Gray's Arch - Out And Back

Knowing this is one of the most popular arches we wanted to make sure we got an early enough start to beat the crowds. A following set of stairs takes you deeper into the canyon just below the beginning of what will eventually form the backbone of Grays Arch. Mar 26-30: Marshall University Campus. Arches In Red River Gorge

The sandstone has been eroded into undulating waves, smooth in some places, overlaid like folds of fabric in others.
