This is the exact reason Kahr tells people to use more powerfull ammo. I can run winchester white box all day long is just about anything I own, without any issues. I am only offering a possible cause and don't mean to deride your skills or anything. It works great on my M9A3 but will not go back into battery with my Glock 19.
Yes, I function check my G17 every time I reassemble after cleaning. Smoothened it out and I feel a hair less resistance. Try some different, hotter practice ammo and see if the issues continue. You've expressed your concern over the OP's method of testing his pistol. I wouldn't ever be shooting with them again.

Things to note on a P80 is that the rails are sometimes not within spec for earlier models. Slide action is pretty smooth. I think I'll clean and lube it good, then get some higher grain practice ammo to run through it as some have suggested. I was having this issue with my glocks. Polished trigger bar, connector, slide guide rail, and locking block with a dremel and Mother's mag polish. You are doing it with your fingers/hand unknowingly. The barrel hooking back up into the slide is very 'rough' or 'sticky'. One time the trigger went dead, forcing me to rack the slide enough to reset the trigger before the next shot.
2. are you using stock springs? Turns out the 147's were seated far enough back that the base of the bullet would hit the case wall where it began to thicken. You don't get it with 115's because the gun recoils less with 115's. If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine. What part is aftermarket and what part is OEM? He needs to reverse it in the trigger housing and bend it back inwards a little then reinstall properly/reassemble/retest and report back. Push the slide forward with my thumb, and same thing again, and again, and again for all 10 factory rounds. Take a factory glock and run the same test, gently follow the slide home and you'll feel the resistance when the trigger bar depresses the firing pin safety. All I could think of is changing to a non-OEM guide rod with a heavier spring (Stock OEM for G19 is 18#)…? There is no bathroom!! My current theory is that the connector is bent out too far and is pushing/dragging on the slide's cam surface hence the slide returns to battery when sling-shotted rapidly with full momentum but not when cycled slowly. Disclaimer for a break-in period. No issues at all... Lastly - I went for a more "natural" grip not focusing on accuracy (say, what is needed for confirming zero). I would remove the slide, and flick the slide stop up and check to see that it returns back down with authority and speed. This was a great thread to read. Add a mess load of lithium grease to the piston. Problem was a high grip causing the slide stop to occasionally push up when firing and locking the slide back. Change your grip a bit to insure your thumb is not hitting the slide release during recoil. I replaced that with a 17lb also from wolff, however its still doing the same thing.
