It's gone from pleasantly enjoyable to Woo Hoo in a matter of minutes. It's unfortunate it wasn't as good as we had hoped. The body relaxes a bit into medium, allowing for a profile so smooth that the strength is hard to gauge—hovering roughly around the medium to medium-plus range. I know a great many cigar smokers who, with prejudice, tend to disregard releases by many of the larger, "non-boutique" cigar manufacturers. Plus a nice long finish. The man seems able to, somehow, deliver quality to those of us who aren't actually bankers. The leader immediately pointed at Skip and yelled, "HASHISH! The midpoint of the cigar features a creamy buttermilk twang, cedar, and tangy honey sweetness. Boasting an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper, Corojo 99 binder, and Criollo 98 and Pilito Cubano filler, the cigar could best be described as medium to full-bodied with a sweet, balanced taste profile and notes of almond. I'm not much of an H. Upmann fan. It's joined by toastiness, almonds, meatiness, leather and sharp pepper that is like the flavor of black pepper but it engages the palate more like white pepper. Chocolate begins to intermingle with oak leaving a short woody finish. The contrast between the two sensations—sweet flavor and the burn—are a great balance to each other. The short finishes seem to be commonplace with this toro. The H. Upmann by AJ Fernandez Robusto is a 5" x 52 stick that immediately catches the eye with a stunning Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper leaf. It won't hit me too hard for me - the fortress is above average, closer to full. Cigars like this are somewhat tough to score as this isn't a flavor profile that I find particularly appetizing.
