During the Shibuya Arc, Nobara comes across Mahito, and like any other Kugisaki fight sequence, this becomes another fan-favorite moment as the young sorceress gives the deadly curse a hard time. Do not underestimate Nobara kugisaki, or you'll face the absolute death. Brain-Kun has set up multiple pieces before the Shibuya arc to prepare for the return of "The Golden Age of Cursed Techniques".

By using her spell, she reduced the damage taken, and seeing how her injuries were new, her chances are certainly greater than one would think. The only derivable conclusion from these sequences of events is that Nobara had truly died during her fight against Mahito. They had not even spoken about Saori since the day she left. Tons of info going on this chapter, from what I understood. However, he did not annoy me as much as Shinji does and I grew to like him by the end, so this was not a huge complaint. On top of that, his g/father appeared to know more than he'd disclosed to Yuji. Like Potter, the world just keeps getting bigger & more layered, & branches out from there. What Yuji had yet to fully realize was that the curses he was fighting were not just things to be fixed but truths of the world that had to be combatted and destroyed. The two, along w/the exceptionally powerful fellow 1st year, Nobara, become a team of unprecedented effectiveness, garnering the attention of even their accomplished upper classmates.
